Celebrate LGBT History Month with West Yorkshire Queer Stories at the West Yorkshire History Centre, in Wakefield.
On Wednesday 27th February From 2-4.30pm we’ll be screening a selection of short queer films (curated by Leeds Queer Film Festival) and making DIY rainbow plaques to celebrate LGBTIQ+ people and events in Wakefield.
If you have any LGBTIQ+ memorabilia that you’d like to talk about in a ‘show and tell’ then please bring it along – it could be photos, flyers, Tshirts, badges. There will also be a chance to have your LGBTIQ+ memories and experiences recorded for the West Yorkshire Queer Stories project.
The event is FREE and open to all.
